Commercial Finance Manager East
Location: Kolkata | East Regional Branch
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance professional to lead Finance partnering for our East business
This is a business-facing role that combines commercial business partnering, planning and performance management, team leadership and strong financial governance. The role will partner closely with Sales and Commercial leadership to influence business decisions, drive profitable growth and strengthen the overall Commercial Finance capability across the markets
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted Finance partner to Sales and Commercial leadership, providing insights and constructive challenge to support key business and commercial decisions.
- Commercial Finance: Partner the business on revenue growth, pricing, trade investments, customer/channel profitability, margins and go-to-market decisions.
- Planning & Performance: Lead budgeting, forecasting and short- and long-range financial planning; identify key performance drivers, risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Multi-Market Leadership: Provide Finance leadership across East India, Nepal and Bangladesh, navigating different market dynamics, commercial priorities and stakeholder environments.
- Operational & Financial Governance: Ensure strong oversight of month-end activities, financial reporting, commercial controls, compliance and governance, while maintaining accuracy and financial discipline.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Commercial Finance team, strengthening both functional and business partnering capabilities.
- Transformation & Simplification: Drive process improvement, standardization and automation of recurring Finance activities, creating greater capacity for insight-led business partnering.
What We're Looking For
- CA or MBA (Finance) with approximately 8-14 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Finance or Business Finance, preferably within FMCG or a complex consumer-facing organisation.
- Demonstrated experience partnering Sales/Commercial teams and influencing business decisions.
- Strong understanding of commercial levers including revenue, pricing, trade spends, margins and customer/channel profitability.
- Experience in planning, forecasting, performance management and financial governance.
- Strong people leadership, analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance business partnership with strong financial controls and operational discipline.
The Opportunity
This role provides an opportunity to combine commercial influence with end-to-end Finance ownership across a diverse multi-market landscape. The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening business partnering, developing the team and transforming Finance processes while ensuring strong financial governance across India East Region.
