The Finance Business Process Governance "Role" an enabler of Mondelēz International's ambition to achieve full transparency of end-to-end Finance processes. This role drives the creation of the foundational layer for process standardization and simplification, establishes the platform for automation and transformation, and enables outsourcing scope harmonization across the Finance function.
Operating with a strong coordination and project management mandate, this role works in close partnership with Finance subject matter experts to ensure delivery against defined outcomes and timelines. The role serves as the central orchestrator for process excellence within Finance, leveraging Celonis as the enterprise process documentation and mining platform to enable transparent process monitoring, adherence measurement, and sustainable enterprise value generation.
The Finance Business Process Governance "Role" ensures that Finance processes are documented in alignment with the MDLZ Business Process Architecture framework, documented at required level of granularity, and continuously optimized through data-driven insights
How you will contribute
You will:
Finance Business Process Architecture Design & Governance
- Design and maintain the Finance Business Process Architecture in alignment with the overarching MDLZ Business Process Architecture framework and enterprise standards
- Define and govern business process taxonomy, hierarchy, and naming conventions across all Finance process areas
- Ensure process architecture reflects capabilities enabled through SAP S/4HANA implementation and other strategic Finance initiatives
- Establish / Reinforce process ownership models, and decision rights to ensure sustainable process management
- Partner with Finance subject matter experts and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and consistency
Process Documentation & Standardization
- Lead the documentation of Finance Business Processes leveraging the capabilities of Celonis
- Drive the transformation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as an inseparable component of the Finance Business Process Architecture
- Ensure process documentation is maintained as a living asset, with clear version control, change management protocols, and stakeholder sign-off
- Establish documentation standards, templates, and quality criteria to ensure consistency across all Finance process areas
- Engage Finance process owners, Global Business Services (GBS), and regional teams to validate process accuracy and completeness
Process Mining & Adherence (via Celonis)
- Support the establishment and implementation of process mining capabilities within Finance using Celonis as the core platform
- Deploy process mining models across key Finance processes to enable transparent, real-time process monitoring
- Define process adherence KPIs, conformance benchmarks, and deviation thresholds in partnership with Finance leadership
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations from process mining data to drive continuous improvement and enterprise value generation
- Collaborate with the Celonis Center of Excellence to ensure technical architecture supports process mining ambitions
- Drive adoption of process mining insights across Finance stakeholders through training, communication, and change management
Enterprise Value Generation
- Identify and quantify value opportunities through process mining insights, including cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and risk mitigation
- Support build business cases for process optimization initiatives and track realized value against targets
- Establish a value tracking framework to measure the impact of process governance and mining activities on Finance performance
Coordination, Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the coordination and project management hub for Finance process governance, ensuring Finance subject matter experts deliver against defined outcomes and timelines
- Drive structured planning, milestone tracking, and cross-workstream dependency management
- Act as the subject matter expert for process governance and process mining across the Finance function
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance leadership, GBS, MDS, and external partners (e.g., Celonis)
- Drive change management and adoption programs to embed process governance disciplines into daily operations
Key Deliverables
- Fully designed Finance Business Process Architecture aligned to the MDLZ Business Process Architecture
- Comprehensive Finance process documentation for all in-scope Finance processes
- Transformed and integrated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as part of the Finance Business Process Architecture
- Operational process mining environment (Celonis) with defined models, dashboards, and adherence metrics for Finance
- Established governance model with clear process ownership, review cadence, and escalation paths
- Quarterly value realization reports demonstrating enterprise value generated through process governance and mining

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ experience in process management, process governance, or finance transformation roles within a multinational FMCG/CPG organization
- Strong understanding of business process architecture design and documentation
- Experience with business process management tools and techniques and knowledge of process mining platforms or equivalent
- Experience enabling process standardization, simplification, and harmonization at scale
- Demonstrated ability to build foundations for automation and optimization
Skills:
