The Final Documentation Specialist will support the Documentation team by producing high‑quality data books, manuals that meet contractual specifications. This role involves gathering information from engineering, quality, ensuring compliance with company standards, and delivering documentation on time to support customer satisfaction and project success.

Responsibilities
  • Create, compile, produce applicable documentation (i.e., Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), Supplier MRBs, User Manuals (USMs), & Declaration of Conformities (DoCs)), review MRBs/USMs for accuracy, and provide correctional feedback as needed for U.S. Final Documentation Groups.

  • Utilize engineering document database system to create, compile and produce engineering USMs for customer equipment.

  • Communicate with internal departments and vendors to correct traceability and retrieve missing documentation to complete MRBs, Supplier MRBs, & USMs.  

  • Transmit electronic USM & MRB copies and print hard copies when required per customer contract.

  • Provide basic training to new employees on department process, work instructions, & how to compile/review MRBs, Supplier MRBs, USMs, & DOCs. 

  • Perform other work-related tasks as necessary, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. 

    FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate equipment genealogy reports to confirm Build of Material (BOM) of component assemblies.

  • Review and assure manufacturing documentation is available, and traceability is verified before equipment can be shipped from facility. 
  • Ensure the traceability from warehouse picklists of the Work Orders match the ERP system. 
  • Keep accurate schedule of assigned orders for timely delivery to meet deadlines.
  • Transmit and communicates with Third Party companies for review and follow-up of our Manufacturing Records Books for certification per Customer Contract.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 0-2 plus years of manufacturing data books knowledge.

  • Minimum understanding of Engineering documents and build of material (BOM).

  • Minimun understanding and be able to read manufacturing work orders.
