Role Overview
We are seeking a UI Manager to lead the execution of our modernization journey, which is already defined and approved. This role will ensure the successful transition from legacy UI frameworks to a modern architecture leveraging Angular and microservices, following the established roadmap and standards.

- Lead and mentor a team of 10 UI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

- Technical Delivery
- Follow and implement the modernization plan already in place, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align modernization activities with enterprise objectives.
- Quality & Governance
- Oversee design and implementation of UI components using Angular and microservices.
- Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless integration and API-driven architecture.
- Drive adoption of best practices for responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Implement coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing for UI components.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively to senior stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on modernization execution and team performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in software development, including leadership roles.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Deep expertise in Angular (Angular 18 preferred), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency with Node.js frameworks such as NestJS.
- Strong proficiency with core web technologies: HTML, CSS.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices for intuitive, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining REST APIs.
- Good understanding of OIDC authentication flows for Okta and Azure IDP.
- Ability to remediate security vulnerabilities in Node.js and Angular.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases like Oracle DB.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Commitment to unit testing and quality assurance.
- Architectural Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
