  • Portfolio Management and Growth: Manage a sizable, complex book of business with a focus on profitable growth, retention, diversification, and market share. Analyze portfolio performance, identify opportunities, execute targeted marketing strategies, and partner with preferred brokers to market and cross-sell products. Contribute insights on marketing plans, product opportunities, geographic priorities, service needs, and broker intelligence.
  • Underwriting File Quality and Compliance: Maintain thorough, well-documented underwriting files that demonstrate sound judgment and a clear decision-making process. Ensure account reviews, referrals, approvals, and signoffs comply with applicable regulations, underwriting guidelines, and delegated authority.
  • Technical Leadership and Talent Development: Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to underwriters and account analysts. Support the development of both underwriting expertise and professional skills, share best practices, and provide regular feedback to leadership regarding employee progress.
  • Continuous Improvement and Strategic Projects: Participate in department and company initiatives that improve processes, tools, service, and underwriting results. Contribute ideas, engage in problem-solving activities, and use continuous improvement practices to support team objectives.
