Job DescriptionThis post will provide assistance to maintain books of accounts of the company
Key Responsibilities1. Pre & Post-Order Costing & Margin Analysis
- End-to-End Costing: Drive hands-on execution of both pre-order costing (estimating and simulating costs before production) and post-order costing (reconciling actual production costs against estimates).
- Margin Safeguarding: Calculate, monitor, and report on product margins. Proactively identify areas of margin erosion.
- Outlier & Variance Analysis: Monitor costing data to identify and investigate statistical outliers, cost variances, or pricing anomalies, ensuring irregularities are resolved before closing accounts.
- Pricing Integration: Maintain a strong understanding of pricing structures, markups, and market dynamics to assist in commercial pricing evaluations.
2. General Ledger (GL) Governance & Financial Accounting
- GL Analysis: Perform rigorous monthly analysis of GL accounts to ensure all transaction flows (revenue, COGS, expenses) are mapped to the correct ledger accounts.
- Oracle ERP Posting: Post accurate journal entries and maintain the integrity of accounts payable and general ledgers within the Oracle ERP system.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare comprehensive monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial health and audit readiness.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to monthly vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies swiftly.
3. Inventory Control & Standard Costing
- Standard Costing Management: Apply a sound, practical understanding of inventory standards to manage standard costing runs, inventory valuations, and adjustments.
- Variance Reporting: Calculate and analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and material usage variances to optimize inventory performance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors degree in finance/ Accountancy/ Economics/ Business Administration or a passed finalist of ICA, CIMA or ACCA
Exp- 2-3 Years of experience in Costing and Pricing.
Hands on experience in Oracle ERP system
