The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager plays a critical role in designing, managing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure seamless, secure, and reliable business operations. This position involves strategic planning, team leadership, and the integration of cutting-edge technology to optimize the company's compute, server, storage, and enterprise cloud environments. The role ensures the availability, security, and performance of all IT systems and services across the enterprise.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Assess current infrastructure capabilities and future requirements to ensure scalability, flexibility, and security
  • Research and recommend new technology and methodologies to optimize performance and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with senior management to prioritize technology investments and projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, network administrators, and system administrators
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, ensuring continuous learning and professional development of the team
  • Manage resource allocation, task prioritization, and workload balancing across the team
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop performance improvement plans as necessary
  • Ensure robust management of data centers, cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), and hybrid solutions
  • Manage system operations including servers, storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery systems
  • Monitor and ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of network and system infrastructure
  • Implement best practices for system performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring
  • Develop and enforce security protocols and policies to protect the enterprise infrastructure from threats
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain a secure infrastructure and respond to security incidents effectively
  • Oversee regular audits and penetration testing of systems and applications
  • Design and manage hybrid cloud environments, ensuring smooth integration between on-premises and cloud resources
  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models
  • Lead virtualization efforts across servers, desktops, and storage systems to maximize resource utilization
  • Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related projects and initiatives
  • Communicate infrastructure performance, risks, and upgrades to executive leadership and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with various IT teams (e.g., software development, cybersecurity, data analytics) to ensure seamless integration across the technology stack
  • Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity
  • Ensure infrastructure resilience and redundancy to minimize downtime in the event of system failures or natural disasters
  • Collaborate with business units to assess risk and develop backup and recovery strategies

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Cisco CCNP, VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VPNs).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix).
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and data backup/recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management, intrusion detection, and data encryption.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for maintenance or emergencies

The applicable salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
