As a Quality Management student, you will be part of the larger Engineering Services department, located on the third floor of the Irving Oil Home Office building. Quality Management plays a key role in supporting engineering project execution by ensuring compliance within internal and external standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering high-quality engineering outputs.
This role offers a unique exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines and provides a strong foundation in both engineering practices and quality management systems. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, learn how engineering teams operate in a real-world setting, and contribute meaningfully to projects that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards across all engineering disciplines
Support and lead assigned continuous improvement projects within Engineering Services
Participate in day-to-day team initiatives and contribute to project execution activities
Your Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a dynamic, project-based environment
Strong attention to detail
Your Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (any discipline)
Demonstrated interest in quality management, process optimization, or change management
Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
