PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Engineering Manager drives our engineering team's success, bringing experience from roles in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing engineering and test engineering.
Team works continuously with all managers / departments proactively to achieve top performing results in the organization.
Strategic business vision is crucial in directing operations to not only meet but exceed customer expectations, aligning seamlessly with industry-leading practices.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and implementing engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve organizational goals.
- Managing engineering teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Overseeing NPI, manufacturing engineering, end of line testing, and implementation of engineering projects and solutions.
- Managing budgets and optimizing engineering processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Proactively supporting departments to achieve plant objectives and metrics.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product launch readiness and efficiency.
- Streamlining production processes with innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Implementing LEAN tools to optimize processes and minimize waste.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and fostering innovation and adaptability.
- Providing technical support and resolving manufacturing process issues.
- Leading investigations into manufacturing related issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Staying up to date with technological advancements and industry trends.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance and deliver quality results.
- Proven experience in engineering management role, with a track record of success in managing complex engineering projects and teams.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
- Initiative and ability to anticipate future problems or opportunities, with a knack for detecting trends.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
