This includes leading designs teams and managing MHE projects. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of mechanical design, machine controls, warehouse control software and/or customer operations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $140,00at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will do in This Role:
The Solution Design Project Engineer on the Key Accounts team is responsible for overseeing the engineering efforts and estimation of large and complex MHE solution. This team member manages the definition of solution requirements, identifies relevant controls architectures, generates description of operations, supports customer layout reviews, generates/directs the development of solution design, supports concepting efforts and generates system cost estimations using department tools/processes. This role will lead, schedule, plan and manage all the technical activities with attention to project accuracy and quality.
Solution Design Project Engineer Responsibilities:

Review requirements from customer/sales team and closely collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholder to generate executable system concepts

Lead team members, create 3D models and generate proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze.

Produce material lists and project scope of work summaries.

Identify relevant control architectures, delineate control boundaries, specify relevant interfaces between machine/host and generate vendor quote requirements

Review customer submitted D of O requirements and generate proposal description of operations to specify system capabilities

Submit quote request and validate vendor quotes in conjunction with procurement teams

Apply standard subsystems, designs and modules to solutions where appropriate

Identify relevant project risks and assist with generation of mitigation strategies

Establish priorities, and promote effective interaction between departments

Evaluate external quotes to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements

Identify and submit relevant internal controls/electrical quote requests and ensure discipline alignment with quoted budgets

Lead technical review and pricing reviews

Create cost breakouts and bridging as required

Responsible for all project engineering efforts for assigned projects

Capable of recognizing and understanding when to apply standard subsystems and modules

Able to apply value engineering principals to optimize the effectiveness of the system where possible

Accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-company departments and vendors

Thoroughly understand customer RFPs, specifications and requirements

Ensure compliance of SD project process
