An Engineering Manager in GPE MTY will be responsible of 20+ engineers to develop the engineer skills to perform commissioning and administrative activities in multiple projects mainly in the United States. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel to different sites to get in contact with the engineers and identify areas of opportunity for the employees and the organization.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities

Ability to partner with remote team members to track progress, success, and gaps in personal and project performance.

Ability to identify, align and manage skills and development target goals.

Assign the appropriate technical resources to projects.

Implements effective engineering methods and provides technical guidance and acts as a resource for engineers.

Workload balancing and forecasts.

Managing Team and Individual expenses.

Awareness of cost impact of direct vs indirect labor.

Forecasting workload and managing indirect hours

Awareness of the relationship between Statements of Work and inputted forecasts (YLF).

Responsible for ensuring that engineers are technically trained to meet project requirements.

Provide effective coaching and technical guidance, and communicate as necessary with all levels of management, customers, and subcontractors on the program team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls).

Excellent verbal and written English skills.
-
Minimum of 6+ years of successful experience in a directly related field. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in current role.
Excellent leadership, teamwork, influencing, mentoring, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

Analytical, organization, and time management skills.

Effective communication skills including demonstrated stand-up presentation skills, group facilitation, and ability to effectively interact with customers.

PC skills with demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Ability to work individually and under minimal supervision to include a mixture of both remote and office environments leading distributed workforce.

Travel up to 50% to the customer site, other Dematic offices, or identified locations for meetings, training, and business needs.
