Your core mission is to turn the complexity of omnichannel communication into a seamless experience, delivering world-class APIs, SDKs, and tools that feel simple and intuitive. Based in Stockholm and reporting to the VP of Engineering, your influence will be felt across the organization. This isn't about top-down directives, it’s about building collaborative partnerships, creating alignment, and empowering your teams to deliver with clarity and purpose.
- Guide, mentor, and foster the growth of a high-performing engineering team in an environment where every member can do their best work.
- Define and champion the technical strategy for our public APIs and tools, translating developer needs into a clear roadmap your team is excited to build.
- Champion technical excellence through collaboration, leveraging your understanding of architecture and technology to ensure teams deliver robust and well-designed solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver a cohesive product suite that serves customers from innovative startups to the world's largest enterprises.

REQUIREMENTS
We're looking for an experienced and empathetic person who is motivated by the craft of building exceptional developer products and excels at guiding teams toward a shared vision.
- Experience: You bring 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years dedicated to growing and mentoring teams that build products for developers.
- API & Platform Expertise: You have hands-on experience designing, building, and scaling public RESTful APIs. You champion high standards for API design while creating an environment where your team can challenge, contribute, and find the best solution together.
- Developer Experience Focus: You have a proven track record of significantly improving the developer journey. You can point to specific SDKs, documentation sites, or API products you have shaped and are proud of.
- Technical Acumen: While your focus will be on people and strategy, you are comfortable diving into discussions on system architecture, SDK design, and authentication, helping guide the team toward what "good" looks like in practice.
- How You Lead: Your approach is centered on empathy, trust, and empowerment. You are an excellent communicator, able to articulate a technical vision with clarity to engineers and executives alike.
- AI-Forward Mindset: You have a strong interest and a growing understanding of the emerging AI agent ecosystem. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), function calling, and vector databases is a significant advantage.
