Chewy is looking for a Program Manager for the Category Management (CM) team to support Strategy & Training in our Plantation, FL headquarters! You will collaborate with key partners to understand overall category strategy and then will develop training programs to drive the growth and performance of our CM teams. This role will own cross-functional relationships and strategically partner with the business to build impactful learning solutions, and drive adoption of outstanding practices. You will come from a merchandising or spent time in a related category management role for credibility and be ready to take on a broader role working with leadership to enable the next generation of Category Managers at Chewy. What You'll Do:
- Partner with executive leadership to assess strategic priorities and how they will be rolled out to CM teams. Priorities will cut across digital merchandising, vendor management, pricing, analytics and Chewy tools
- Design, implement, and continuously improve interactive, engaging onboarding and training programs tailored to both brand-new Category Analysts (recent college graduates) and tenured hires joining our Category Management and Merchandising teams. Programs should be scalable, and apply AI tooling where applicable
- Ensure all experiences are multifaceted, hands-on, and learner-centered, incorporating simulations, real-world projects, gamification, and interactive workshops
- Apply data-driven analysis to evaluate program efficiency, identify skill gaps, and optimize strategy & launch processes for trends and critical metrics
- Lead the full lifecycle of training programs from needs assessment through content creation, delivery, and post-program evaluation
- Build learning roadmaps aligned to key business objectives including profitability, assortment expansion, customer experience, and vendor relations
- Curate and develop a library of digital resources and best-practice guides specific to category management
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience implementing training or experience in Category Management strategy
- Validated experience working directly in or supporting ecommerce, merchandising, or category management functions
- Prior experience as a Category Manager
- Experience with onboarding both green professionals and tenured industry authorities
- Highly skilled at using metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and demonstrate impact
- Ability to thrive in a multifaceted, fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Some travel may be required, based on business needs
