Responsabilities:
Basic Engineering:
- Creation of the approval layout for the customer design freeze
- Safety assessment of the project scope (mechanics) and determination of the necessary measures.
- Creation of detailed concepts based on the sales layout and project requirements and integration into the approval layout
- Material flow review based on the sales layout and the products transported on the conveyor system.
- Clarification of interfaces with other trades such as steel construction, building, etc.
- Collision check
- Definition of access areas for service and maintenance of the system.
- Definition of escape and transport routes
- Definition of the required special designs.
- Ergonomic assessment of the workstations
- Preliminary mockup design of the workstations
- Measurement recording at the customer site (brownfield projects)
- Engineering support in customer meetings during this engineering phase
Detail Engineering:
- Create detailed layouts
- Detailed definition of the conveyor technology (drives, conveyor speeds, roller and belt design, lateral guides, supports, suspension, etc.)
- Detailed planning of the required stepovers, maintenance platforms, etc. for maintenance and service.
- Detailed planning of the required safety devices.
- Create technical specifications for purchased components and coordinate the technical details with the supplier.
- Implement special designs
- Final mockup design of the workstations, including detailed technical and ergonomic coordination with the customer.
- Create bills of materials for ordering Dematic conveyor technology in our production.
- Generate purchase requisitions for purchased components in SAP
- Create data lists for hardware controls planning
- Create installation drawings
- Handover of all information to the installation team.
- Create a system risk assessment and conduct the safety inspection at the customer's site together with CE Compliance.
- Installation support remotely and directly at the customer's site
- Engineering support for supplier FAT
Requirements:
- Graduate engineer / Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (a specialization in materials handling or intralogistics would be advantageous)
- 3-5 years of professional experience (we also welcome graduates)
- Expertise in project engineering (ideally in intralogistics or similar)
- Expertise in mechanical design (ideally in materials handling or similar)
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Communication skills
- Structured and systematic approach

- Self-management skills
- AutoCAD knowledge
- NX + Teamcenter knowledge
- Navisworks knowledge
- SAP knowledge (preferable)
