About the role
As our Element Designer, you'll help shape the next generation of LEGO® character and organic elements. You'll work across the design ecosystem, turning creative ideas into production-ready 3D solutions that inspire play. Partnering with Concept Designers, Model Designers, Engineers, and Manufacturing teams, you'll create elements that balance creativity, quality, play value, safety, and manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
- Created digital sculpts using tools such as ZBrush, Freeform, or similar 3D sculpting software
- Developed character, creature, accessory, or product designs from concept through delivery
- Translated 2D concepts into detailed 3D models
- Demonstrated strong visual communication through sketches, presentations, and design documentation
- Applied principles of form, proportion, and silhouette in professional design work
- Completed a degree in Product Design, Character Design, Entertainment Design, Fine Arts, Animation, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Built physical models, prototypes, or sculptures as part of a design process
- Worked with product development or manufacturing teams during design delivery
- Designed products within toys, collectibles, entertainment, or consumer products
What you'll build
- Design and develop organic LEGO elements for a wide range of play experiences
- Create digital sculpts and prototypes that capture the LEGO design language
- Develop animals, creatures, wigs, accessories, costumes, and specialised building elements
- Produce sketches, presentations, and supporting design documentation
- Explore new creative opportunities that enhance how children build and play
- Contribute ideas, insights, and learnings that strengthen the wider design community
If you've worked in a role where you've transformed concepts into manufacturable 3D designs and collaborated across multiple disciplines, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to combine strong sculpting skills with thoughtful design development.
