Job Description:
Position Summary:
You will be leading a team of experienced product manager/product executive to drive the business of our extensive portfolio of Cyber Security vendor(s) by working closely with vendors and internal colleagues.
In this role, you are responsible for:
- Working as liaison between vendors and the Company
- Providing specialized consultative service and implementing, driving and maintaining vendor programs, marketing, and training; review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors
- Developing annual vendor business plan and quarterly tactical plans to ensure revenue and profit objectives are reached
- Maintaining inventory at targeted levels while ensuring fulfilment of orders
- Meeting aging inventory objectives and working with Sales to sell out aging inventory quickly
- Identifying and improving process for purchasing inventory
- Aligning process between respective product managers and sales to ensure accurate forecasting of product needs and minimizing excessive stock.
- Ensuring processes are in place to collect vendor rebates and accurate inventory control data.
- Monitoring process as the critical tool and system to ensure compliance requirement is met
- Ensuring appropriate pricing is in place for different customer segments
- Working closely with Channel Sales team to drive the vendor program and related sales promotion and program follow-up
- Leading a team of product managers to achieve the Company targets
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree holder preferred
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in IT distribution or related area, in which has 5 years or above supervisory experience
Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four-year college degree
- Minimum 5 years functional experience including at least 3 years specific experience
- Minimum 1 year leadership/supervisory experience
- Experience supervising support-level associates (clerks, production associates, technicians)
- Experience in vendor management, contract review and negotiation
- Ability to research and resolve invoice and contractual discrepancies
- Thorough knowledge of department processes and ability to develop/enforce procedures
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and stakeholders
