We partner with business units around the world to simplify processes, accelerate innovation, and enable consistent, high-quality operations that support our company’s strategic priorities.

As our organization continues to evolve and expand its impact, we are seeking a creative and strategic Director of Communication to join our Corporate Affairs team. You will lead the development and execution of communication strategies that build awareness, drive alignment and showcase MGS value across the enterprise.

This position – spanning both internal and external communications - requires original thinking, innovative communication approaches, and the ability to blend strategic planning with hands-on execution. You’ll partner closely with business leaders and functional teams to create impactful messaging and campaigns that bring our value creation story to life – strengthening Associate engagement and amplifying our global presence.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Strategic Communications Leadership:

  • Partner closely with MGS senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into compelling communications that reinforce our value and impact.
  • Ensure alignment of messaging across functions, regions, and initiatives to strengthen understanding of the MGS vision and role within the enterprise.

 Transformation & Change Communications:

  • Lead communications for major MGS transformation initiatives, ensuring Associates understand the vision, impact and benefits of change.
  • Partner with transformation, digital, and functional leaders to build communications and change strategies that drive adoption and engagement.
  • Create structured communication frameworks that support large-scale operational and organizational change.

 Executive Communications:

  • Develop messaging, presentations, and content for senior MGS leaders to effectively communicate strategy, priorities, and progress to global audiences.
  • Support leadership visibility and storytelling through townhalls, internal & external events, and enterprise communication channels.

Associate Engagement:

  • Design and deliver campaigns that strengthen Associate connection to the MGS vision, strategy and culture.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Associate’s voices, celebrate impact, and highlight success stories across the organization.
  • Leverage data and feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness and engagement.

Content & Channel Strategy:

  • Oversee development of high-quality internal communications across digital platforms, newsletters, leadership updates, and multimedia formats.
  • Optimize communications channels to ensure the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand across MGS communications.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish metrics and insights to measure communication impact, Associate understanding, and engagement.
  • Use data and analytics to refine communication strategies and demonstrate business value.

What are we looking for?

  • 10-12+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or change communications within a large, complex organization.
  • Proven experience leading communications for large-scale transformation or organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and content development skills.
  • Experience working in global organizations with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to translate complex operational and strategic topics into clear and compelling communications.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with over 150,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
