Profile Summary
The Sales Director DACH will drive strategic sales growth for InterSystems’ data platform solutions across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role requires a visionary sales leader with a proven track record in enterprise software, data management, and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep technical understanding of data platforms, ensuring that customers unlock full value from InterSystems IRIS in interoperability, analytics and AI-driven applications.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for defining the regional sales strategy, leading high-performing teams, and achieving ambitious revenue targets within key verticals such as retail, manufacturing, logistics and transportation.
This role requires a dynamic, self-motivated, hands-on individual who can drive new business opportunities and lead a talented Sales team. The Director of Sales DACH reports to the Country Manager DACH.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership:
Develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy for InterSystems IRIS, growing business with existing customers and driving new business across the DACH region. - Revenue Growth:
Own and deliver on revenue goals for the IRIS platform in the DACH Region, with a focus on enterprise-level deals and strategic accounts. - Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account executives, solution architects, and partners to ensure excellence in sales performance and customer satisfaction. - Customer and Partner Engagement:
Build trusted relationships with decision makers and executives, IT leaders, and business stakeholders to position InterSystems IRIS as the preferred data platform for mission-critical applications. Strengthen partnerships and expand business with system integrators, VARs, ISVs - Forecasting & Pipeline Management:
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting through CRM tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making and predictable results. - Market Insight:
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Technical teams to align regional sales efforts with global strategic priorities.

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in BA, Computer Science, or related field.
- Min 10 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with 5+ in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success selling data platforms or database technologies. Track record in closing complex enterprise deals.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures.
- Experience leading and scaling teams across the DACH Region.
- Familiarity with verticals such as Retail, Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
