About the Job
Doodle Labs is looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to lead and scale a high-performance team that serves as the technical backbone of our sales process. Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, this hands-on leadership role will be responsible for driving successful design-ins, optimizing evaluation-to-win conversion rates, and ensuring seamless technical support across the entire customer lifecycle. You'll implement process discipline, mentor a growing team of global Sales Engineers, and ensure senior leadership has full visibility into sales engineering performance through clear metrics and reporting.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure the team executes the full sales engineering process across every opportunity
- Support evaluations, demos, and integrations to prevent technical losses
- Establish weekly reporting and performance reviews
- Prioritize deals and allocate resources to the most critical opportunities
- Conduct weekly reviews of high-priority opportunities and remove key blockers
- Manage and grow a team across the US, EU, and Singapore
- Hire 1-3 new Sales Engineers and build a performance-driven culture
- Report on team activity and outcomes to senior leadership
- Use metrics to identify improvements that shorten sales cycles and increase wins
- Serve as a key interface with Sales, Product, and Application Engineering
- Share customer feedback and escalate advanced technical needs as needed
What We Need to See
- Proven experience managing a high-performing technical pre- and post-sales team, ideally in a growth-stage B2B hardware or embedded systems company
- Strong operational instincts and ability to drive execution with structure, prioritization, and accountability across a distributed team
- Comfortable explaining RF, networking, or wireless technologies to engineering audiences and guiding system-level integrations
- A track record of hands-on support and relationship-building with strategic accounts, driving design-ins to production
- Experience managing and scaling international Sales Engineering teams across time zones
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or related technical customer-facing roles
- 5+ years in a management or leadership position with direct reports
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience
- U.S. citizenship required to support defense sector customers
Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd
- Familiarity with mesh networking, RF communications, or unmanned systems
- Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot for pipeline and process tracking
- Background in creating feedback loops between field teams and engineering

Compensation
The compensation range for this role includes variable compensation such as Performance Bonus and Company Profit Sharing. Your cash compensation will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for benefits.
