About the Role
The Director, U.S. Government Sales & Business Development will lead Doodle Labs’ strategic engagement with the U.S. Department of Defense and related government organizations during a period of rapid transformation in defense acquisition.
In this role, you will develop relationships across portfolio acquisition offices, influence emerging requirements, and lead capture efforts for high-priority programs and rapid acquisition pathways. You will work closely with engineering, product, and solutions teams to ensure Doodle Labs’ wireless technologies are aligned with evolving mission needs.
This position sits at the intersection of strategic engagement, capture leadership, technical coordination, and operational execution within the defense ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Build and expand relationships across key DoD portfolio acquisition offices and program management organizations
- Establish engagement with program managers, evaluators, DIU teams, and acquisition stakeholders across priority portfolios
- Map Doodle Labs’ technology capabilities to emerging mission requirements and portfolio priorities
- Lead capture efforts for high-value government opportunities, including OTAs, CSOs, DIU pathways, and programs of record
- Maintain a structured capture pipeline aligned with commercial-first and rapid acquisition procurement cycles
- Coordinate technical demonstrations, pilots, and evaluations with solutions engineering, product, and R&D teams
- Convert successful demos and pilot programs into funded opportunities and long-term deployments
- Develop and execute a comprehensive DoD engagement strategy aligned with portfolio priorities and revenue goals
- Represent Doodle Labs at industry events, conferences, range demonstrations, and acquisition community engagements
- Build strategic partnerships with integrators, OEMs, and defense ecosystem partners

- Strong relationships established across priority DoD portfolios and acquisition organizations
- A healthy capture pipeline aligned with rapid acquisition and commercial-first procurement pathways
- Successful execution of demonstrations and pilot programs with actionable feedback loops
- Consistent conversion of demos and pilots into funded opportunities and long-term programs
- Increased visibility and credibility for Doodle Labs across defense acquisition communities
- Strong alignment across internal teams supporting capture, demonstrations, and program execution
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in DoD business development, capture management, or government program engagement
- Experience working with defense technologies such as unmanned systems, C5ISR, EW, or tactical communications
- Strong network of relationships with program managers, evaluators, acquisition staff, and portfolio leadership
- Demonstrated success leading capture efforts across OTA, CSO, DIU, and FAR-based acquisition pathways
- Working knowledge of tactical communications, mesh networking, mission networking, or unmanned systems technologies
- Ability to coordinate effectively across engineering, product, marketing, and executive leadership teams
- Excellent communication and briefing skills with military and civilian stakeholders
- U.S. Citizen required for government contract eligibility
- SECRET clearance eligible; active clearance preferred
