Job Description

This role will have ownership of the product management aspects of critical components of DaaS & VDI offerings, including strategy, business case development, partnerships, requirements definition, roadmap planning and execution as well as packaging. In addition, the Director will work with Product Marketing on launches, enablement as well as pricing and packaging. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or computer science background, coupled with strong background in security, SaaS cloud services and cloud environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives for Citrix’s continued leadership in the DaaS & VDI market
  • Own and spearhead the roadmap for key components and areas of the DaaS & VDI Offerings such as Citrix Workspace App for various operating systems and security capabilities such as Device Posture Service, deviceTRUST and App Protection capabilities.
  • Drive and own the product requirements process while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to prioritize and validate technology, features, product direction and strategy
  • Influence the Product Development and R&D teams in understanding overall product strategy.
  • Conduct market and customer research regarding product acceptance, usage and success and integrate results directly into the product strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and identify key areas of competitive differentiation, as well as identify disruptive opportunities.
  • Contribution to product collateral, white papers, and presentations.
  • Build and mentor a team of junior PMs

Required Experience/Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Consulting, or other relevant business areas.
  • 7+ years of product management experience in security with a minimum of 2 years in cloud services
  • 3+ years of team building and management experience
  • Experience with management of product launches and software release is required
  • Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of network security and security technologies
  • Strong understanding of the security market and ecosystem
  • Ability to dive into technical details with engineering and define requirements, prioritize product backlogs and define roadmap
  • Strong analytical & strategy skills
  • Exceptional collaboration skills & ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills including written and presentation skills
  • Experience owning a security product line with a good understanding of the security buyer persona.
  • Demonstrated ability to document research findings, market analysis, and product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated strong, structured and data-driven problem-solving skills that require solutions for cross-functional matters.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building applications for end users in large enterprises is a plus.
  • MBA preferred
  • Familiarity with Citrix products along with working with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
