A Day in the LifeOur Mexico team, part of the broader Prologis global accounting organization, is responsible for the full accounting and reporting cycle across Mexico operations, ensuring compliance with Mexican GAAP (NIF), IFRS, and US GAAP.
As the Accounting Director, you will report directly to the VP Accounting LATAM and lead a large, high-performing team. You will be the primary owner of all accounting operations in Mexico, responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across all entities.
This role requires deep technical accounting expertise across multiple frameworks, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced, multinational environment. You will play a critical role in driving disciplined execution of the close process, strengthening internal controls, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver accurate and timely financial results that support Prologis’ growth strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations & Oversight- Serve as the primary owner of all accounting operations in Mexico, including Property Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Consolidation, Corporate Accounting, and Internal Reporting.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across all entities.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with Prologis policies and local requirements.
- Drive accountability across teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial results.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP (NIF), IFRS, and US GAAP across all accounting activities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and internal management reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead audit readiness and proactively manage the resolution of audit issues.
- Lead and develop a large, high-performing team, setting clear priorities and driving accountability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Strong expertise in NIF, IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
