The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Go-to-Market (GTM) – Financial Services to lead market development and go-to-market planning for our financial services software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify growth opportunities in the market. The Director will be responsible for market analysis, competitive positioning, and the execution of strategies that drive revenue and adoption of our solutions within the financial sector.

Key responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Development

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities in the financial services industry.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and provide strategic insights to differentiate our offerings.
  • Define and segment target markets based on industry needs, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements.
  • Develop data-driven insights to inform product positioning and market entry strategies.
  • Monitor regulatory and economic developments to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, and acquisition opportunities to enhance market presence.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies tailored for financial services customers.
  • Lead the development of market entry strategies, expansion plans, and positioning frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to align messaging, positioning, and demand generation strategies.
  • Define value propositions and create compelling narratives that resonate with key decision-makers in the financial industry.
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of new technologies, regulatory changes, and economic factors on GTM strategy.
  • Establish a structured process for launching new products and solutions in the financial services market.

Market Trends and Client Engagement

  • Gather client feedback through direct meetings, market events, and surveys to inform product improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, regulations, and competition to identify growth opportunities across Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to validate high-level requirements and gather market insights.
  • Create value propositions and proof of concepts to showcase product capabilities.

Sales Enablement & Partner Collaboration

  • Equip sales teams with market intelligence, industry insights, and effective sales tools to drive customer conversations.
  • Work closely with strategic partners, industry influencers, and ecosystem players to expand market presence.
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies that maximize revenue potential. And align to the commercial policy set out with Product operations and other product managers.
  • Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to enhance brand positioning.

GTM Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of GTM strategies for each country and product segment
  • Engage with Product Operations to set the necessary Price strategies and have a

  • Provide regular reports and insights to executive leadership on market trends, competitive threats, and business growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Business Acumen & Commercial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and commercial strategy within the financial services sector.
  • Industry Expertise: 8+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, market analysis, or business development within financial services or fintech.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to analyze market dynamics and develop strategies that drive business growth.
  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Strong experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • GTM Planning & Execution: Expertise in developing structured, data-driven go-to-market plans for financial services products.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to influence and collaborate across sales, marketing, product, and executive teams. A team player is a must.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement: Experience working with sales teams and strategic partners to drive GTM success.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Strong ability to articulate complex ideas, develop compelling narratives, and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging insights for decision-making.
  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Business, Risk , Finance, or a related field.
