You ensure technical and engineering programs are delivered and aligned with Mondelēz International worldwide goals. You have full technical responsibility for executing capital projects, technical development, and feasibility perspectives on engineering-related activities in the supply chain to support growth, world-class manufacturing and productivity with the highest level of quality, safety and environmental requirements. To ensure adherence to Mondelēz standards, you follow Mondelēz business and innovation processes in project management. As a member of the management team, you interact with senior-level clients and the technical community.
How you will contribute
You're responsible for MEU Bakery technical and CapEx investments and projects within your scope. You take accountability for their quality and related process parameters, and the implementation results and ensure they are completed with excellence using Mondelēz standards for business and innovation processes in project management and execution.
This role will be responsible for the following key activities:
  • > $250MM investment programs and projects and technical governance across >25 Bakery plants. During the development phase of mid to large capital investment initiatives, you will assign project resources and define and deliver the capital and technical designs to key stakeholders to provide accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
  • Ensure engineering resources are sufficient and capable to deliver Vision 2030 strategic plan. Assign and manage engineering resource and people development needs.
  • Bakery category CapEx management & governance. You will work with business development and supply chain directors to develop capital budgets according to the contract and the forecast cash flow. You ensure that the CapEx is spent according to plan.
  • You lead the Oven Safety (PSM3) Program and provide technical governance for the Combustible Dust (PSM2) program
  • In addition, you will ensure that applicable engineering developments and standards are implemented; develop and implement state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices
  • The role ensures project adherence to the 'Innovation Initiative Pillar (IIM)' Design reviews.

What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
  • Proven 10+ experience in project management and IIM. GB/BF project management experience is a plus
  • Excellent expertise ranging across engineering disciplines related to biscuits and snacks
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence positively in decision making
  • Working effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills and able to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution level up to steering committee members
  • MSC relevant experience (plant/section management) is a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant business processes and capex management processes
  • Proven ability in building and leading effective teams across internal and external partners
  • Strong conceptual and analytic skills - enjoys problem solving

The role has circa 7 Engineering direct reports. The role reports to the Sr. Director Engineering MEU and is an important member of MEU Engineering leadership team.
