This is a temporary position covering a leave of absence. The assignment is expected to run from November 2, 2026 through January 4, 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs and the returning employee's timeline. The role is fully in-house and sits within the Marketing team.
SET THE COURSE
As the temporary Digital Marketing Manager, you will step in to maintain continuity across our digital marketing programs while a member of our team is on parental leave. You will manage two key external partners — our digital advertising agency and our affiliate marketing agency — overseeing campaign execution, spend, and performance across both relationships. You'll act as the primary internal point of contact for these agencies, ensuring campaigns stay on track, budgets and reporting are accurate, and ongoing initiatives don't lose momentum during the transition. This role works cross-functionally with marketing, creative services, merchants, and eCommerce, and reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing (interim) for the duration of the assignment.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for our external digital advertising agency, overseeing SEM, paid social, and display campaigns.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for our external affiliate marketing agency, overseeing affiliate program performance, partner relationships, and payouts.
- Lead campaign planning and submit briefs for digital marketing campaigns already in flight or scheduled to launch during the coverage period.
- Track performance against goals for both agencies, offer constructive feedback, and drive continuous optimization.
- Manage digital marketing budgets across both agency relationships: forecast spend, track and process invoices, and reconcile monthly budgets.
- Analyze campaign and affiliate program performance, flagging risks or opportunities to leadership.
- Maintain the digital marketing calendar so it stays aligned with broader marketing initiatives and business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (merchants, creative, eCommerce) to keep digital strategies aligned with key priorities during the transition.
- Traffic and approve ads before they go live; ensure campaign deadlines are met and provide recaps to key stakeholders.
- Maintain cohesive brand messaging across all digital touchpoints managed by both agencies.
- Provide a clear handoff of status, open items, and priorities at the end of the assignment to support a smooth transition back to the returning employee.
- Flexible for other duties as needed to support the overall business during the coverage period.
