Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of, or strong willingness to learn, tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI; able to work with real-world data and turn it into clear, useful insights.
- Hands-on experience experimenting with modern AI and automation tools — e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot Studio, Power Automate. We don't expect production deployments, but we do expect you to have actually built something, even if it's a personal project, class assignment, or weekend experiment.
- Ability to break down a problem, ask good questions, and work through ambiguity. You're comfortable saying "I don't know yet, but here's how I'd find out."
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain your thinking clearly to people with different backgrounds, and confident enough to speak up in a room with more senior people.
- Curiosity and learning agility — you proactively explore emerging technologies, form opinions about them, and bring those ideas into your work.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Coursework or self-study in process improvement, operations, Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Any experience — internships, club leadership, part-time work, volunteer roles — where you put a new tool, process, or idea in front of other people and had to get them to use it.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Vercel) or a basic understanding of how APIs let systems talk to each other.
- Familiarity with a CRM or ERP system (Salesforce, NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP), even at a coursework or club level.
- Domain interest in [your industry] or another complex/regulated space — you've read about it, taken relevant classes, or are genuinely curious about it.
- A portfolio of side projects, GitHub contributions, hackathon work, a blog, or anything else that shows you build because you're curious, not just because it was assigned.
A point of view on when an LLM is the right tool — and when it isn't. We're not looking for a "right answer" here, just evidence you've thought about it.
