Fueling Mission-Driven Impact Behind the Scenes
Be part of something greater by supporting the people and purpose at the core of Londonderry Village as a Development Coordinator. In this vital role, you will provide high-level administrative assistance to the Director of Development, helping to advance fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Executive Team and Board of Directors, ensuring smooth communication, meeting coordination, and top-tier organizational support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a Communication Hub – Foster clear, professional, and proactive communication with donors, staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders. Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships through consistent engagement and thoughtful collaboration.
- Uphold Integrity & Professionalism – Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, ethical conduct, and alignment with the mission, values, and vision of Londonderry Village in all interactions.
- Organize with Purpose – Effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail and flexibility. Support smooth workflow and departmental efficiency.
- Execute Gift Processing & Data Integrity – Accurately enter and manage all monetary contributions and in-kind gifts in the donor database. Process and reconcile gift batches with the Business Office to ensure consistent records and financial tracking.
- Engage Donors with Thoughtful Communication – Prepare timely and personalized donor acknowledgment letters, correspondence, and thank-you notes. Maintain organized donor files and ensure consistent communication across all touchpoints.
- Support Campaigns & Appeals – Assist in the creation and distribution of fundraising appeal materials, pledge letters, special event invitations, and other donor engagement collateral.
- Drive Donor Outreach Through Compelling Content – Utilize desktop publishing tools to develop presentations, visual materials, and electronic communications that promote development activities, events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Manage Lists & Mailings – Prepare and update mailing and email lists; coordinate the distribution of appeals, invitations, and general outreach materials.
- Support Donor Cultivation Efforts – Assist in preparing meeting packets and materials for donor visits and cultivation activities.
- Coordinate Event Logistics – Organize and track participant registration for events, manage RSVPs, process ticket orders, and coordinate meal selections. Create nametags, attendance lists, and print materials for a seamless event experience.
- Enhance the Guest Experience – Prepare and distribute event programs and handouts. Support and guide event volunteers, ensuring they understand and confidently perform their roles.
What You Bring to the Table
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Educational Foundation: A high school diploma or GED is required to get you started on this exciting path; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proven Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of relevant, hands-on experience to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.
- Tech-Savvy: Confidently navigate tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook to get the job done efficiently and effectively.

Londonderry Village is a non-profit, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Established as an outreach ministry of the Church of the Brethren, it provides a full continuum of care, including independent living, personal care, memory care, and nursing services. The organization is dedicated to providing high-quality housing and supportive services for elderly persons, focusing on compassionate, individualized care that promotes independence, dignity, and an enhanced quality of life for its residents.
