About this opportunity:
We are developing and supporting several tools (commercial, internal, and open source) to support our large Ericsson R&D community. We are looking for a full stack Software developer to join our small Agile team. The role covers the full application lifecycle from design, development, testing, deployment, automation, operation, user support and troubleshooting.
In this Role you will work within a DevSecOps Agile team, as a full-fledged member, with a wide array of technologies: Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Angular, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker, test automation frameworks, ... This is a great opportunity to work with Agile & DevOps, following industry best practices and tools.
What you will do:
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintain Java-based applications and software
- Code, test, debug, and collaborate with teams to ensure efficient and scalable software solutions.
- Work in developing/debugging software tools which support developer's needs, such as web-based tools, log analysis tools, debug tools, software management tools, etc
- Staying current with the latest advancements in software development, cloud technologies, and data engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Technical Managers & Senior Data Architects to translate architectural designs into functional scope and code.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies to improve our product portfolio
- Collaborating with Product Managers and Architects to define requirements for new features
- Designing and implementing new features
- Working in team-based Agile Environment
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of related experience in an Agile DevOps team
- Proficiency in code review practices to enhance code efficiency and maintainability of Java applications
- Expertise in writing efficient Java code that adheres to secure coding practices
- Excellent knowledge of Java/JVM in general and related frameworks, especially Spring and related sub-projects (Boot, MVC, JPA etc.)
- Recent experience with Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Angular, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker, test automation frameworks,
- Experience with Linux, including shell scripting
- Experience with relational databases (especially MySQL) and SQL
- A team player who is actively engaging in team discussions by articulating unique viewpoints and facilitating constructive feedback
- A strong desire to deliver high quality software solutions that meet deadlines and contribute to overall project success
- Innovative and a mindset that challenges ideas & practices constructively, striving to continuously improve
- Good communication skills; written and spoken English
Nice-to-have:
- Front-end development (Angular/Typescript, HTML, CSS)
- Knowledge in the IT security domain including vulnerability management and asset hardening
- Version control tools (Git, Gerrit) Monitoring and Troubleshooting Java applications on live systems (Glowroot, CheckMK, VisualVM, JConsole, Prometheus/Grafana)
- Python 3
- Familiar with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Basic knowledge of AI tools/LLM
