The Role
Integrate and validate FPGA-based reference designs and components across hardware, software, and firmware systems. Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate and validate FPGA-based specifications and components across connectivity and embedded designs.
  • Partner with cross-functional developers on system design integration, ensuring interoperability across hardware, software, and firmware boundaries.
  • Collaborate with validation teams to plan test coverage, execute bring-up and interoperability testing, and debug issues across the hardware, software, and firmware stack.
  • Review test results and data to identify root causes and drive design improvements.
  • Document system design decisions, interface behavior, and validation results for internal and customer-facing use.

Key Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing reference designs for FPGA-based systems.
  • Working knowledge of IP protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, DisplayPort, HDMI, MIPI, SDI, USB, and I2C.
  • Experience in logic verification, debug, and timing closure for FPGA-based systems.
  • Experience with bring-up, interoperability, and system-level test planning and execution.
  • Programming skills in C/C++, Perl, TCL, or Python.
  • Strong written documentation skills, with the ability to clearly capture design decisions, interface behavior, and validation results for internal and customer-facing audiences.
  • Experience with embedded development tools, logic analyzers, and I2C/SPI/USB analyzers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of RISC-V systems is an advantage.

Education and Experience

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in FPGA system integration and validation.
  • Independent and self-motivated, capable of executing under dynamic environments and uncertainty.
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Skills Required

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in FPGA system integration and validation
