Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in developing AI-driven healthcare enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work with large datasets to uncover opportunities for product and process optimization. This role calls for hands-on experience in data modeling and solution optimization, along with a proven ability to deliver actionable, data-backed insights. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you will partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive meaningful results. In our fast-paced environment, adaptability is key—your ability to pivot quickly and respond to business priorities will ensure you make the greatest possible impact.
What you’ll do:
- Develop a deep understanding of business challenges and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Design, build, and maintain data models and reporting systems, leveraging both classical and modern machine learning and deep learning algorithms to enable robust analysis and informed decision-making.
- Evaluate and report on model performance and business impact, ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and effectively communicated.
- Proactively identify opportunities for product and process improvements using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of data-driven solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous optimization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by keeping up with emerging technologies and best practices in AI, machine learning, and healthcare analytics.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python with strong proficiency in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, and regular expressions. Advanced SQL querying and optimization for large datasets.
- Practical experience in training, tuning, and testing ML algorithms (e.g., SVM, CART, Bagging, Boosting) and text mining techniques; familiarity with modern ML/DL approaches.
- Experience with prompt engineering and leveraging GenAI for classification, data enrichment, semantic embeddings, and innovative AI-driven solutions.
- Ability to integrate multiple data sources into streamlined, scalable pipelines and work with unstructured data (text, images) to transform it into clean, structured formats.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and experience creating custom Python packages for serverless applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, EMR, S3, Athena, Batch, Textract, and Comprehend.
- Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and ability to uncover patterns and insights from complex datasets.
- Experiment and rapidly prototype design frameworks, validate hypotheses efficiently, and iterate on AI/ML models to support fast-paced development.
- Evaluate and optimize models by building robust evaluation frameworks and applying custom metrics to ensure high performance and reliability.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with healthcare payment integrity, claims processing, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database design principles for scalable data storage and retrieval.
- Experience in orchestration, and packaging ML models for production environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for ML, model versioning, and monitoring in production.
- Experience with cutting-edge techniques such as reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, or federated learning.
- Exposure to tools like Quicksight, Power BI, or similar for communicating insights effectively.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior associates, fostering best practices in coding, analytics, and model development.
