Job Description

Job Summary:**
UOB (Thai) Public Company Limited is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our innovative team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply data science principles to real-world financial challenges, contributing to data-driven decision-making and enhancing customer experiences.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
* Support the development and implementation of machine learning models for tasks such as predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and fraud detection.
* Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
* Contribute to the creation of data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively.
* Collaborate with senior data scientists and other business units to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
* Research and evaluate new data science techniques, tools, and technologies.
* Document data processes, models, and analytical findings.
Job Qualifications:**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* Strong foundational understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R).
* Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
* Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior internship experience or personal projects in data science are advantageous.
