Job Description

Job Summary:**
UOB (Thai) Public Company Limited is seeking a Data Science Intern to support our data science initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of analytical solutions that drive business value. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic banking environment.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist senior data scientists in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
* Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
* Support the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.
* Contribute to the creation of data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
* Help research and evaluate new data science techniques and tools.
* Participate in data quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
* Document data science processes, methodologies, and findings.
Job Qualifications:**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* Strong foundational understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning principles.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R).
* Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
* Familiarity with SQL for data querying and retrieval.
* Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
