Job Brief:
The Data
Monetization Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies
that turn user data and platform insights into sustainable revenue streams,
while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and maintaining user
trust.
This is a hybrid role based in Ghana
Duties:
- Design and implement monetization strategies leveraging user
data (ads, subscriptions, partnerships, and insights)
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to
create targeted advertising opportunities
- Analyse user behaviour and engagement trends to
identify new revenue opportunities.
- Develop and manage data-driven partnerships with
advertisers, brands, and research firms.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and policies (e.g., NDPR, GDPR, CCPA).
- Create reports and dashboards that demonstrate the ROI
of monetization initiatives.
- Work closely with the legal team to develop ethical
guidelines for data usage.
- Monitor competitor trends and industry best practices
in data monetization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analytics, data commercialization, or related fields, preferably within a technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience in data
monetization, digital advertising, or platform revenue management.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, ad tech, and user behaviour modelling.
- Familiarity with data privacy
laws and ethical data usage.
- Strategic thinker with the ability
to balance revenue goals and user trust.
- Proficiency in analytics tools
(Google Analytics, SQL, Tableau, or similar).
Skills Required
