Data Entry Representative II (SP) - Houston, MO, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Individual is responsible for data entry within the Specimen Processing Department. This position requires a data entry background. Functions performed may include but are not limited to determining and verifying client account numbers, patient demographics and order codes into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). All functions must be performed accurately and in a timely manner. Job complexity requires solid organizational skills and the ability to transcribe/determine appropriate order codes and account numbers.
Pay range: $20.00+ per hour
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Excels in all areas of Data entry I role and in understanding how all functions in Specimen Processing fit together
- May check the work/accuracy of more junior data entry employees
- Responsible for requisitions that require special handling
- Able to work in all SP data entry stations and sustain high levels of speed and accuracy
- Meets standards for production and accuracy – 108% productivity rate
- Data entry of all required billing information that appears on requisitions
- Maintain Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet quality and production standards
- Must be detail oriented and have ability to work independently
Required Work Experience:
2-3 years prior data entry experience in a high-speed environment, or 1-2 years as a Data Entry Rep I
Preferred Work Experience:
Previous experience in a production environment preferred

- Ability to visually interpret information

- Ability to key a minimum of 8,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour with minimal errors
