About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About Trailhead
Trailhead is Salesforce's free online learning platform and the front door to the Salesforce ecosystem. It empowers anyone to build in-demand skills across AI, Agentforce, CRM, data, and business fundamentals, and helps organizations re-skill their workforce for the agentic era. Today, Trailhead is also an AI-powered learning experience, with personalized pathways and the Trailhead Learning Agent guiding learners every step of the way.
The Trailhead Content team generates ideas, writes and edits content, develops hands-on challenges, and publishes and maintains the learning content that makes all of this possible. We believe content should be accessible, educational, relevant, and enjoyable. Right now, we're building some of the most important learning content in the Salesforce ecosystem. This is your chance to be part of it.
Role Description
As Data Analyst/Data Engineer Hybrid you build, test, and run the recurring reporting and pipeline infrastructure that powers all three facets of Trailhead measurement: content analytics and performance (the Content Intelligence Engine), learner satisfaction and feedback (structured and unstructured survey data), and business impact (engagement-to-commercial-outcome cohorts). You're a genuine Data Analyst/Data Engineer hybrid — you maintain dashboards and headless analytics, and you build the pipelines that keep the underlying data reliable and AI-ready. 60% Data Analyst - 40% Data Engineer.
What You'll Do
Content analytics and performance: Build and maintain the recurring reports and dashboards for the Content Intelligence Engine — catalog completions, portfolio health, journey tracking — keeping them accurate as the catalog changes.
Learner satisfaction and feedback: Build and maintain the pipelines that ingest survey data (CSAT, confidence pre/post scores, open-text responses) and structure it into reportable, recurring feedback dashboards.
Business impact: Build and maintain the join and cohort pipelines that connect learner identity data to business/sales records and content completions to sales opportunities — feeding the business impact metrics designed by the Senior Analyst.
Maintain dashboards or headless analytics — ensure data is structured for both visual dashboard use and for query/agent consumption, not view-only.
Own the raw → cleansed → curated data flow across all three facets, following the architecture and standards set by the Senior Analyst.
Run day-to-day data quality checks — validation, anomaly-catching, join-coverage monitoring — against defined standards.
Operate AI/query tools on AI-ready data — running natural-language queries, validating outputs, iterating quickly rather than manually rebuilding views.
Serve as the go-to person for internal stakeholder requests and queries — typically checking data accuracy, fixing bugs, or helping build out a report.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong SQL and hands-on ETL/pipeline experience (dbt, Airflow, or similar) — this is a genuine hybrid, not "analyst who occasionally touches pipelines."
Expert Tableau proficiency (calculated fields, LOD, performance optimization) with a strong eye for clear, well-designed visualizations; comfort using AI-assisted tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) to speed up pipeline and reporting work.
Comfort working with both structured (engagement/CRM) and unstructured (survey/text) data pipelines.
Experience building/maintaining recurring reporting cadences reliably at scale.
Comfort working within someone else's data architecture/standards (vs. Senior Analyst who sets them) — this role executes and maintains.
Sales operations or marketing operations experience.
Strong troubleshooting instincts and stakeholder communication skills — comfortable fielding ad hoc requests, diagnosing data issues, and explaining findings to non-technical audiences.
Advanced English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with headless BI/semantic layer tools; Salesforce Data Cloud; AI query tools (Concierge-style natural language querying).
Direct experience with Trailhead.
Direct experience with Salesforce.
What We Look For In Every Hire
Learner-first mindset: You design everything with the Trailblazer in mind, not just internal stakeholder requirements.
Clear communicator: Your writing and conversations are direct, jargon-free, and respectful of people's time.
Collaborative by default: You seek out other perspectives, share your work early, and give feedback that helps.
High ownership: You are accountable for your work, proactive about blockers, and remain calm under pressure.
Curious about AI and technology: You actively explore how emerging tools can improve what we build for learners.
NOTE: By applying to the Data Engineer/Data Analyst posting recruiters and hiring managers across the organization hiring these roles will review your resume. Our goal is for you to apply once and have your resume reviewed by multiple hiring teams.
