Responsibilities 

  • Administers, configures, and maintains classified and unclassified information systems supporting operational and mission requirements. 

  • Manages user accounts, roles, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies and least privilege principles. 

  • Monitors system performance, availability, and security using approved tools to identify and resolve issues. 

  • Implements system hardening, patch management, and configuration baselines to maintain cybersecurity compliance. 

  • Supports accreditation, authorization, and continuous monitoring activities in alignment with DoD cybersecurity requirements. 

  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues to ensure system reliability and continuity of operations. 

  • Maintains system documentation, configuration management records, and standard operating procedures. 

  • Coordinates with cybersecurity, network, and operations teams to support incident response and risk mitigation. 

  • Performs data backup, recovery, and continuity procedures to protect mission-critical information. 

  • Provides technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders on system capabilities and security best practices. 

Qualifications: 

Required 

  • TS/SCI clearance 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical field 

  • 5 years executing cyber system administration responsibilities for DOW systems in TS or higher environment 

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or IAT Level III certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) 

  • Computing Environment certification (Windows: MCSA or Linux+/RHCSA, or equivalent)) 

  • Demonstrated experience managing Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems 

  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls and STIG compliance 

  • Experience with network administration including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations 

  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management 

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) 

Desired Qualifications 

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I, II, or III (CND, CISM, CISSP) 

  • Advanced technical certifications (CCNA, RHCE, MCSE, or equivalent) 

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or CompTIA Cloud+) 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and briefings 

  • 5+ years of experience in DoD cyber operations or military IT environments 

  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes 

  • Background supporting SCIF or other sensitive compartmented information environments 

  • Experience with cybersecurity incident response and forensic analysis 

  • Demonstrated experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) 

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines 

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure administration (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) 

  • Previous experience with DISA guidance, CMMC compliance, or CNSSI standards

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
