CFC has gone through a period of significant growth, and with this continued growth we are looking to create and scale a national business development function to create a world-class Cyber sales team. As part of that, we are looking to expand our Development function in Canada with a new Cyber Development Manager opportunity. This role will work closely with our existing development, underwriters, Proactive and Incident Response teams in driving broker engagement across our distribution network and supporting our ambitious growth trajectory in Canada.
This candidate will be responsible for building our brand presence with new and existing broker partnerships, creating efficiencies and processes around management and engagement of those relationships, and empowering them through broker training and education to be experts in Cyber insurance.

About the role
The role will require travel across Canada and will have a heavy focus on our fast-growing Canadian broker partnerships. You will be required to work closely with the Development Leader to action the cyber sales strategy.
Although the role will not be directly responsible for underwriting, it will require close interaction with the underwriters to ensure that messaging is aligned with underwriting strategy and to gain insight on day-to-day interactions amongst our underwriters and broker partners.
- Responsible for key account management and performance metrics with a focus on Canadian relationships
- Building the CFC brand and profile in cyber in the Canadian cyber market
- Development of existing and new broker relationships, including on-boarding.
- Participation in the delivery of presentations both in person and virtually
- Working with marketing to develop sales support materials for broker partners based on market demand
- Maintain extensive knowledge of key competitors in key trading territories
- Identification of new go to market strategies for cyber
- Frequent engagement with underwriting teams to align with underwriting strategy
About you
We’re looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic. You should have good knowledge of cyber as a class of business and proven business development capability.
You will have strong business development experience from either broking or underwriting, as well as excellent knowledge of the broker and cyber landscape in Canada. You will have an excellent understanding of both Canadian insurance conventions/practices and insurance fundamentals and best practices from an agency management perspective.
You will be expected to work relatively autonomously but at the fast pace that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business.
You will have strong business development experience from either broking or underwriting, as well as excellent knowledge of the broker and cyber landscape in Canada. You will have an excellent understanding of both Canadian insurance conventions/practices and insurance fundamentals and best practices from an agency management perspective.
