Role Overview:
This position will support the execution of the established Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) product vision and multi-year roadmap across Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Long-Term Care (LTC), Voluntary Benefits (VB), and future product offerings. The role will translate established product direction into product plans and lead the execution of key initiatives supporting the roadmap while partnering across cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver product solutions that drive profitable growth, product performance, and an enhanced customer experience.
The ideal candidate will possess broad knowledge of the Group Benefits market, including Life, AD&D, Long-Term Care, and Voluntary Benefits, with demonstrated experience translating product strategies into executable plans, leading complex initiatives, working cross-functionally, leveraging data and market intelligence, and building capabilities that improve competitiveness, operational outcomes, and customer experience.
What You'll Do:
• Develop and manage assigned product initiatives, serving as the product single point of contact and owning execution of end-to-end product processes and outcomes.
• Build and maintain deep technical knowledge across Life, AD&D, Long-Term Care, Voluntary Benefits, and future product offerings.
• Work collaboratively with cross-matrix partners to gather market intelligence about products, pricing, positioning, value propositions, and channel conflicts/opportunities to inform recommendations and implementation of winning tactics.
• Leverage competitive insights, market knowledge, and business acumen to support and translate the established product vision and multi-year roadmap into product plans, initiatives, and recommendations; identify and recommend roadmap adjustments based on market, customer, and business needs.
• Create, distribute, and educate sales teams (internal and external) with effective tools and materials that articulate the value proposition of assigned products and services; ongoing consultation as needed.
• Support B2B strategies in partnership with Marketing to provide critical product information and consultation to clients and brokers.
• Lead key initiatives within the established roadmap that support profitable growth and product performance, including new sales, in-force growth, persistency, enrollment, and participation results. Develop the strategy for execution and lead cross-functional project teams to deliver initiatives end-to-end throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on implementation, competitive positioning, and operational excellence.
• Leverage internal data and metrics to assess product performance, identify opportunities, and develop recommendations and business cases for senior leadership decision-making, including funding and prioritization considerations.
What You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of Group Benefits product management experience.
• Broad knowledge across group insurance products.
• Proven track record of developing strong relationships across matrix partners, Distribution, Operations, Technology, and external vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities, lead complex initiatives with minimal direction, and develop recommendations, business cases, and options for senior leadership decision-making.
• Ability to develop innovative product recommendations and execution approaches that balance customer needs, competitive positioning, operational capabilities, and financial objectives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while effectively prioritizing competing business needs.
• Self-directed with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong personal accountability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $119,000 - $175,000 (New York City, Philadelphia) // $119,000 -$155,000(Chattanooga, Iowa)
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
