Controlling and Business Solutions groups a number of Controlling functions across Functional and International Controlling, BI and Reporting and Analytics Solutions, servicing management information needs in different areas of the Covestro organization. The position holder ensures an effective global Controlling support for Covestro on country level. The function provides transactional and analytical Controlling services and acts as the first and central point of contact for the country Managing Director with regard to all Controlling related questions. Herewith the function also acts as coordinator between Corporate/ Business Entity Controlling and the country organizations. Moreover, the job holder provides consistent analyses forward steering-relevant topics for all countries within the scope.
What We Offer:Reporting and Data Analysis
- Generate monthly reporting and deviation analyses for local purposes to provide transparency to the country organization
- Conduct coordinated ad-hoc analyses in alignment with Managing Directors and global Controlling
- Create reports/dashboards and data visualizations using internal and market-standard tools like SAC
Controlling Support and Processes
- Contribute to initiatives to optimize Controlling processes, in particular ensure interface function with Managing Directors
- Support global roll-out of Corporate Controlling standards and processes to ensure consistent and harmonized Controlling approach for the country organizations
- Perform financial planning and forecast activities (e.g. LE planning) as a key player in several global processes (e.g. Tax: Advance payments, Accounting: Impairment test, Finance: Liquidity planning)
- Drive and support local projects together with MD
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting & tax policies, and regulatory compliance
- Conduct benchmark analyses on Controlling topics, share findings and derive recommendations
Automation, Process Improvement and AI
- Contribute to initiatives to optimize Controlling processes, in particular ensure interface function with Managing Directors
- Assess and test AI tools like Covestro Virtual Assistant and ICON for potential usage in Country Controlling and reporting tasks
- Support actively projects impacting country controlling including cross communication within the local functions in the country (HR, Finance, business, MD, etc.)
- Uphold further development of Controlling best practices (content-and process-related) and drive changes towards
The minimum salary on this position is 2400 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
