The incumbent of this role provides guidance on accounting and intercompany related processes which as a result of the EOC/GSCP set up require cross functional discussion and coordination. As a result of this activity the incumbent provides guidance to our Service Provider by advising on the process steps which have to be taken in order to ensure accuracy in this area.
In case training need is identified, the owner of this role coordinates that the local Mondelez teams as well the Service Provider get the corresponding training in order to close potential gaps.
How you will contribute
The Manager Projects MEU reports directly to the Dir. A&ER MEU and the accountabilities of the role are:
- Managing one or more finance projects which Mondelez decided to implement as part of their global strategies.
- Finance project support in relation to acquisitions/divestitures, geographical extension, system amendments/extensions, process improvements/simplification/harmonisation, and general Finance transformation initiatives
- Representing the MEU Region in the respective regional and global forums
- Evaluates project designs and shares the project goals and toll gates with the regional A&ER Leadership Team
- Based on the regional discussion / alignment the incumbent of this role provides a recommendation to the Global Project Leads and / or Accounting and External Reporting Groups
You also will:
Support and / or manage Finance projects (pending on scale) in relation to:
- acquisitions/divestitures, geographical extension,
- system amendments/extensions,
- process improvements / simplification / harmonization, and
- general Finance transformation projects MDLZ may undertake as part of their strategic decisions
- Provide recommendations on project designs and shares the same with the MEU Region in order to evaluate risks and opportunities, especially considering the specificities of the EOC / GSCP Model and their associated procedures
- Key player in the setup of a new global invoicing company code under the Swiss corporate structure which aims to harmonize and streamline all global re-charges. In this context the incumbent of this role represents the needs in the Global Lead calls, and he/she provides regular updates to the global project committee on the project development
- Support the transformation and is responsible for implementation of certain aspects in any upcoming business acquisition and coordinates all the relevant steps which a successful implementation may require (SAP MD, testing of SAP and related systems if applicable)
- Support and manage ad hoc requests which may result from any of the harmonization and simplification initiatives

- Solid understanding of EOC Processes and mechanics of different accounting standards (i.e. US GAAP vs. Local GAAP)

Education / Certifications:
- University degree
- Accounting qualification CPA (Chartered/Certified Accountant) or equivalent
Job specific requirements:
- Knowledge of Finance Accounting, Budgeting and/or cost control principles
- Understanding of reporting systems (FiT, BI, and SAP - FI / CO)
- 5+ years working in accounting, finance, and/or controlling of a large multi-national company.
