- Analyse and monitor production and operational costs.
- Prepare product costing and margin analysis reports.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with pricing reviews and profitability analysis.
- Support landed cost calculations and imported stock costing.
- Prepare management reports and financial insights for decision-making.
- Perform monthly stock reconciliations and inventory analysis.
- Monitor stock adjustments, losses, and inventory variances.
- Support cycle counts and inventory control processes.
- Work with operations teams to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop productivity and costing models.
- Analyse labour and machinery efficiency trends.
- Provide scenario modelling and financial impact analysis.
- Work closely with Procurement and Finance teams to assess margin risks.
- Support new product costing and launch feasibility analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in improving financial processes and reporting systems.
RequirementsQualifications
- Relevant B.Com Degree
- CIMA qualification advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cost management accounting role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with imported stock and landed cost models preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP systems knowledge
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Knowledge of BI tools
- Understanding of costing methodologies and inventory management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Proactive and results-driven approach
- Ability to collaborate across departments
