As a Corporate Controller, you will:
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and lead GAAP audits
- Oversee an existing accounting team and continue to develop and mentor staff
- Drive financial reporting accuracy and timeliness, including consolidated reporting and monthly deliverables
- Own ASC 606 revenue recognition, R&D capitalization (ASC 350-40), and purchase accounting (ASC 805) documentation
- Build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the accounting function
- Own the ERP strategy
- Support international operations, including multi-entity and intercompany accounting
- Drive multi-state sales tax compliance and federal/state income tax
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, RevOps, Legal, and executive leadership
- Manage and develop the accounting team
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Director of Accounting role at a SaaS or recurring-revenue software company
- CPA required
- History of leading GAAP audits, ideally in a PE-backed or post-acquisition environment
- Deep fluency in ASC 606 (multi-product SaaS revenue recognition), ASC 350-40 (R&D capitalization), and ASC 805 (business combinations)
- Hands-on NetSuite administration experience
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting across US and at least one international jurisdiction
