Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, the Senior Contract Specialist will review and process vendor contracts in accordance with PROS’s contracting standards.  Whether redlining supplier paper or starting from PROS agreement, you will ensure the right terms are in place for each purchase given business needs and risk. This role partners with all PROS departments through the entire contracting process, including requirements planning, Request for Quote (RFQ) process, negotiating and management of routine to complex purchases. This role will be required to follow all company policies and procedures and maintain compliant procurement folders, spend analytics and other relevant metrics. Performs other assignments, as required. 

 

A Day in the Life of the Senior Contract Specialist - About the role: 

·                Facilitate all aspects of the purchasing process, including vendor onboardings, vendor management, contract and work order generation, negotiation, non-standard term approval, signatures; 

·                Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment that places a strong premium on ownership, integrity, innovation, and teamwork; 

·                Coordinate internal client requests to interpret contractual rights and obligations. 

·                Negotiate a variety of agreements to ensure that terms are consistent with overall business objectives, management priorities, and company policies in coordination with relevant internal subject matter experts, including but not limited to sales, marketing, legal, governance and product management; 

·                Provide day-to-day support for contract administration and collection efforts, and collaborate on ways to continually improve the contracts administration process. 

·                Respond promptly to questions related to existing contracts from internal clients;

·                Ensure current PROS standard language, including new terms and conditions, is added to all contracts, as appropriate. 

·                Coordinates with internal clients, legal and governance to review and develop requirements and assists in developing the most efficient RFP and procurement process ; 

·                Leads supplier negotiations with support from internal stakeholders to obtain the best value for PROS; 

·                Manages supplier relationships and troubleshoots issues; 

·                Documents procurement files in accordance with company Procurement policies and procedures. 

 

Required Qualifications - About you: 

We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors: 

·                3 or more years of years of experience in business administration, vendor and contract management, to include  contracts with suppliers for business servicesdeliveries of goods and technology contracts; 

·                Bachelor's Degree Required in FinanceBusiness Administration, Information Technology or Law . Master’s degree is a plus and procurement certifications is preferred; 

·                Experience with contract management system(s), experience implementing a contract management system a plus; 

·                You’re knowledgeable in industry-standard technologies, contracting models and industry trends for the teams and commodities mentioned above; 

·                You have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; 

·                You exhibit a high level of motivation, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements; 

·                You’re a self-starter with a high degree of organization skills; 

·                You have excellent written and verbal communication skills; 

·                You have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones; 

·                You’re able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. 

·                Proficiency in English;

Skills Required
