Come shape the future of education with us.

Job Purpose

At Compass, our people are united by a common purpose: to make the school day more productive, more impactful and more enjoyable. We’re a global provider of School Information Systems (SIS), supporting thousands of schools across Australia, Ireland and the UK every day to help learning thrive. Backed by EQT, we are scaling fast, and marketing sits at the centre of that growth.

This is a role for a commercial content marketer who wants their work measured in pipeline, not page views. You will own the content engine that drives top-of-funnel demand and lifts our bookings rate, spanning customer and product marketing, and translating the Head of Marketing’s strategy into a sharp, funnel-aligned content calendar that gives sales something worth talking about.

You won’t be executing everything alone. We have selected specialist agencies to support production, and a core part of this role is briefing them, managing them day to day and holding them to a standard. You will turn strategic intent into work that ships on time and performs. Alongside content, you will help run the engine room: our HubSpot lead funnel, marketing operations, digital marketing and event content support.

This is a genuine growth-stage opportunity in a fast-moving EdTech scale-up. You’ll report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product and the wider marketing team to build a category-defining brand in Australian education.

What you’ll do:

Content Strategy and Production

  • Build and own a funnel-aligned content calendar for Compass’ LinkedIn presence and wider channels, mapped to the strategy and priorities set by the Head of Marketing.
  • Translate strategic briefs into clear, actionable production briefs, and manage our selected agencies and freelancers day to day: setting expectations, reviewing output and holding them to quality, brand and deadline standards.
  • Scale organic content into a repeatable pipeline that can feed LinkedIn paid media, giving us the volume and quality needed to amplify with confidence.
  • Write and edit sharp, commercially minded copy across formats (social, long-form, email, landing pages and sales-facing assets) with a consistent brand voice.
  • Blend customer and product marketing: turn customer proof points, product releases and sector insight into content that moves prospects through the funnel.

Marketing Operations and CRM

  • Optimise the HubSpot lead funnel (forms, workflows, lead capture, scoring and nurture) to improve conversion from top-of-funnel through to sales-ready.
  • Support the migration from Zoho to HubSpot and help embed HubSpot as the marketing spine, including list management, segmentation and data hygiene.
  • Track content and campaign performance in HubSpot, reporting on what is contributing to pipeline and bookings, and recommending where to double down.

Sales Enablement and Product Marketing

  • Revamp our sales enablement content (decks, one-pagers, case studies and battlecards) so the sales team is equipped with materials that convert.
  • Partner with Sales and Product to keep messaging current, differentiated and grounded in real customer outcomes.

Digital and Event Content Support

  • Support digital marketing execution across LinkedIn, email and web, working with agencies on production and optimisation.
  • Provide content support for key events and campaigns, including promotion, follow-up and repurposing event moments into ongoing content.
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset, using AI tools as part of your daily working method to work faster and smarter.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

You’re organised, proactive and highly detail-oriented. You enjoy bringing people together through well-run events and take pride in making sure every detail is taken care of.

You’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience in events, marketing or a related field, ideally within the EdTech (education technology) sector.
  • Strong technical confidence, with experience using tools such as Monday.com, Canva and CRM platforms (preferably Zoho or HubSpot), along with email marketing programs and a willingness to use AI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking capability, managing multiple projects, deadlines and event logistics simultaneously.
  • A proactive and structured approach to work, with the ability to anticipate needs and keep projects moving.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality work.
  • A positive, collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong initiative and ownership, with the confidence to plan ahead and solve problems as they arise.

About You

  • 3+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A strong copywriter who can move between strategic messaging and hands-on production, and make complex propositions simple and compelling.
  • Experienced with CRM and marketing automation, HubSpot strongly preferred, and comfortable owning funnel optimisation.
  • A proven agency manager who can brief well, manage vendors day to day and get high-quality work delivered on time.
  • Data-driven: you connect content to pipeline and bookings, and you use performance data to decide what to do next.
  • Commercially minded, self-directed and energised by a growth-stage, high-expectation environment where the work is measured by the revenue it moves.
  • Fluent with AI tools as a daily way of working, not a novelty.
