Function:
The Supply & Commercial Analyst supports commercial and supply decision-making through reporting, forecasting, CRM management, commercial analytics, and operational improvement initiatives. The role acts as a key coordination point between Commercial, Supply, Customer Service, and global support teams to drive performance, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports, including volume, margin, LOB, and terminal performance.
- Analyse sales and commercial performance trends and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support commercial growth and decision-making.
Commercial Support & Tender Coordination
- Maintain commercial data, contract summaries, and customer records across B2B, Retail, Aviation, and Lubricants.
- Support contract renewal processes and maintain visibility on key commercial agreements.
- Track tender opportunities and prepare commercial offers and tender submissions.
- Prepare and edit weekly commercial review presentations and related business updates.
Forecasting & Business Planning
- Coordinate sales inputs for budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Consolidate and share forecasts with Supply and Business Support teams.
- Analyse actual vs forecast performance and identify key drivers behind variances.
- Assist the Supply manager with the supply planning across the network.
CRM & Commercial Excellence
- Lead CRM review sessions and drive improved pipeline quality and system utilisation.
- Act as PNG focal point for CRM administration, user training, access management, and system support.
- Coordinate with global and IT teams on CRM enhancements and digitalisation initiatives.
Operational Improvement & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate capture and reporting of Operational Improvement (OI) initiatives across PNG.
- Support process improvement and operational excellence programs.
- Act as a key liaison between Commercial, Supply, Finance, Customer Service, and global support teams.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Experience in commercial analysis, reporting, supply, or business support roles.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role; preferably from a fuel or fast – phase industry such as Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Manufacturing and Logistics.
- Candidates outside of the above industries with a background or degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics with a strong commercial focus may also be considered.

- Advanced computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong business and commercial understanding with exposure to sales operations

- Fluency in English and local language(s)
