The Chief Client Office (CCO) is focused on providing a consistent Client Experience across all business lines and geographies, enabling enhanced Client Satisfaction, Revenue Growth and Business Line Success. The CCO function includes Sales, Partners, Relationship Management, Integration, Marketing & Communications and Sales Analytics & Operations.

The Impact you will have in this role:

The Client Lead Function: As an Executive Director Client Lead, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering DTCC's client strategy at the highest level. You will manage and nurture relationships with DTCC's most sophisticated and strategic global clients, acting as a trusted advisor, industry connector, and value driver. Your leadership will influence DTCC's position as a global market infrastructure leader and drive innovation across the organization. 

The role sits within the Chief Client Office and is responsible for delivering the full spectrum of DTCC's capabilities to clients, engaging them at strategic levels to drive meaningful value. Client Leads act as trusted strategic partners, value drivers, and industry connectors leveraging deep expertise in financial markets, market infrastructure, and post-trade services to strengthen DTCC's position as a leader in the advancement of the global financial markets. 

As an Executive Director Client Lead, you will manage a defined portfolio of client relationships and provide leverage and strategic support to Client Group Leadership. You will apply the same trusted advisor and strategic partnership approach to drive growth and engagement across your client set, while ensuring seamless alignment with DTCC's broader client strategy. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep experience navigating senior client relationships (Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Executive Vice President) and driving commercial growth and retention, strategic alignment, and cross-functional collaboration through insight and innovation. A strong understanding of Capital Markets infrastructure, clearing and settlements, and traded products is critical to best understand your clients challenges and DTCC's solutions. You will have responsibility for setting client strategy, influencing product development, and representing DTCC externally. You will serve as a senior leader, representing DTCC in industry forums and with key collaborators

 

Your Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Serve as the primary liaison for a limited portfolio of global clients, maintaining front-to-back relationships and ensuring the delivery of the whole firm to clients.
  • Cultivate and expand client relationships to improve strategic alignment and drive growth across impacted business lines and functional areas within our client set.
  • Expand and deepen senior level client relationships to strengthen strategic alignment, elevate DTCC’s position as a trusted partner, and drive growth across products, functional areas, and markets.
  • Develop trust, understand client needs, influence decision makers and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Act as the voice of the client in influencing DTCC’s future strategy and product roadmap.
  • Drive joint planning and execution in partnership with clients to strategically drive industry-leading innovation and deliver measurable business value.
  • Close collaboration & partnership with clients and partners to strategically drive industry-leading innovation.
  • Partner internally with our General Managers across all of our businesses and associated product experts, risk professionals and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and service delivery for our clients.
  • You will act as the “air traffic controller” coordinating and overseeing cross-functional teams to advance firm strategy, align with client strategies, resolve called out issues, and identify areas and opportunities for growth.
  • Act as an escalation point for the most sophisticated issues, providing client perspective and advocacy to guide resolution and maintain client confidence.
  • Coordinate the resolution of raised client challenges and roadblocks, resolving for both clients and DTCC alike.
  • Lead the retention and growth of client revenue by minimizing churn, strengthening relationships, and driving organic growth by ensuring clients fully understand and harness the breadth of DTCC’s services and solutions, while continuously demonstrating relevance through industry awareness and innovation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by uncovering opportunities that align with DTCC capabilities; engage Growth Team to drive opportunities, while providing ongoing client advocacy to enable Growth Team success and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Increase revenue through organic growth, enhanced cross-selling, new product development, and targeted growth strategies.
  • Partner closely with growth leads (product and consulting) to drive new revenue opportunities within existing managed accounts from identification of opportunity to closure.
  • Embed client insights are embedded into product innovation and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure client engagement aligns with evolving regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
  • Lead discussion on market structure changes and operational resilience, ensuring clients are aligned with developing standard processes.
  • Champion a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Operations minded to improve efficiency and transparency within function.
  • Proven ability to provide appropriate coaching, feedback and resources to develop team to fullest potential.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
