The Indirect Sourcing Category Manager – EMEA CAPEX will be responsible for creating and executing the category strategy for Facilities and MRO CAPEX in EMEA in alignment with the global category strategy. Estimated spend for this role is $125M. The Category Manager will be accountable for developing and driving strategy, negotiating with suppliers to deliver the best overall value considering business needs (including but not limited to price, contractual conditions, quality, and service). The role involves performing market analysis, conducting supplier screening and identification, preparing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct RFx processes, and performing analytics using various should-cost tools to facilitate supplier selection. The ideal candidate will stay informed of macroeconomic and industry trends related to materials and labor that will influence their strategy.

Develop and implement regional category strategies for designated categories that align with global priorities. Take full ownership of these categories, continuously enhancing category knowledge and deepening understanding of supplier capabilities.
Skillfully negotiate contracts, statements of work, payment terms, pricing, minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time reductions, as well as vendor-managed inventories when applicable.
Manage material and service pricing and lead cost reduction and cost containment activities. Identify new cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, supplier consolidation, and strategic negotiation. Monitor and track savings performance against established goals.
Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and supplier capabilities to refine and enhance sourcing strategies. Conduct market research to assess potential suppliers and opportunities for innovation and efficiency and understand market pricing.
Accountable for establishing and nurturing robust relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews with key suppliers to evaluate performance against critical KPIs.
Lead the RFx process, analyze supplier quotes, and conduct detailed assessments of cost breakdowns, including price, quality, and delivery. Assist requestors in establishing RFQs and selecting suppliers to ensure standard terms are met or negotiated.
Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier performance, and contract compliance. Develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply for critical assigned services and goods.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with GRE, AME, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and business teams in region.
This role requires significant experience in Sourcing & Sourcing Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience – 4 years).
Proven expertise in negotiation, with a strong track record of successfully negotiating contracts, SOW’s pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.
Demonstrated ability in navigating matrixed organizations, leverage spend analytics to develop compelling business cases, present to senior leaders and influence change.
Ability to develop and implement regional sourcing strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
Expertise in developing complex RFx’s, should cost models, scorecards and award criteria.
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Exhibits exceptional flexibility and adaptability, consistently demonstrating a proactive approach and a strong sense of urgency.
Capable of responding swiftly and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, always with the highest degree of integrity.
Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite
Ability to travel and communicate outside of typical work hours.
Written and verbal international business fluency in English. Additional languages a plus.
Expertise in specific sourcing categories (e.g., MRO, construction, building trades, manufacturing equipment, spare parts & equipment repair & maintenance).
Strong leadership and influencing skills.
Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with process improvement methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
Ability to collaborate and work well both individually and as a member of a cross functional team.

Six Sigma, Lean, Gemba experience or exposure.
Quick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs.
Proficiency in sourcing tools and systems.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
