This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in superannuation, life insurance, and/or personal injury claims management to join our Life & Casualty business unit.
The Case Manager is responsible for managing claims on behalf of our superannuation fund clients, including the distribution of death benefits and management of disablement claims such as Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP), and Terminal Illness. This role ensures that members' funds are accessible in cases of disability before retirement and are appropriately distributed to beneficiaries upon death.

This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Brisbane, Sydney, or Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days per week once you complete training.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and implement effective claims management and member communication strategies regularly within timeframe to achieve optimum member outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant superannuation legislation, regulations, and fund rules, and oversee insurance claims under the Life Insurance Code of Practice
- Provide compassionate and professional support to members and their representatives or beneficiaries throughout the claims processes.
- Maintain clear and empathetic communication with claimants.
- Tailored and empathic delivery of adverse outcomes to all stakeholders with a solution focus
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless claims processing.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in superannuation, life insurance, and/or personal injury claims management is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of claims processes and relevant legislation.
- Passion for supporting members and their families during difficult times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including confident phone manner.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing claim workflow, drafting file notes, and preparing written correspondence
