What does a great Business Operations Analysis - Sr Associate do?

A Business Operations Analysis - Sr Associate supports the organization by tracking and reporting performance metrics for company systems and services. You collaborate with analysts, IT leaders, and business leaders to gather and analyze data, ensuring accurate reporting. Skilled in managing strict deadlines and client needs, you can identify data discrepancies and work with providers for corrections. Adaptable to change, you can work independently or as part of a team, focusing on research and dispute projects, supporting validation of projects and issues by creating test scripts, validating changes, and maintaining documentation.

You translate project requirements into testing scenarios and excel in managing timelines and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. You play a crucial role in identifying and managing potential issues that could affect the organization's reputation, operations, or stakeholders. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop issue mitigation strategies while understanding organizational goals, industry dynamics, and risk factors.

Responsibilities also include managing access requests and user IDs across various applications, ensuring timely and accurate completion while maintaining a positive organizational impact. Overall, you excel at managing multiple projects, clear communication, defining business requirements from changes, and working effectively both independently and collaboratively. You possess strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and project management.

What you will do:

  • Provide monthly scorecards and risk assessments to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of performance metrics and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with data providers to ensure accurate data import into business intelligence tools, enhancing the reliability of insights.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and anomalies, proactively developing issue management plans to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Produce weekly dashboards for senior management, including details on potential penalties for the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues proactively, while also responding effectively to reactive issues as they arise.
  • Consult and liaise with both business and technical teams, providing valuable research support to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Manage user IDs across various applications, monitoring and escalating requests as needed to meet strict deadlines.
  • Document user access work processes clearly and meet with stakeholders to define report requirements that align with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive requirement documentation, monitor data anomalies, and manage reporting tasks efficiently.
  • Present reports using advanced tools such as Power BI and SAP Web Intelligence, while maintaining data dictionaries and tracking report schedules.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in VBA, Python (Pandas, NumPy), Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, issue management experience, risk assessment, and mitigation strategy development
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; conveys complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Efficiency: Strong time management and organizational skills; adept at multitasking, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with ability to adapt to change and ambiguity
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within the organization and with external stakeholders
