About the Role
As the Business Manager for our Gordonvale, QLD Workforce Australia site, you’ll lead a dedicated team of Employment Consultants committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for job seekers. You’ll drive performance, build strong community and employer relationships, and create an environment where your team can succeed and grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead a high‑performing team — coach, motivate, and support Employment Consultants to exceed performance expectations.
Ensure contractual compliance — uphold Workforce Australia standards and deliver services with integrity.
Build strong local partnerships — engage employers, community organisations, and stakeholders to create meaningful employment opportunities.
Monitor and improve performance — analyse data, identify trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Foster a positive team culture — champion collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.

Capabilities & Experience
Employment Services experience or clearly demonstrated transferable skills
People leadership experience or strong leadership capability
Understanding of Workforce Australia or similar government programs
Knowledge of CALD & Indigenous contracts (advantageous but not essential)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Results‑driven mindset with a passion for helping others
Ability to work independently in fast‑paced environments
Proven success in performance‑driven settings
Strong stakeholder relationship skills
Ability to meet legislative requirements for Employment Services clearance
To Be Considered, You Will Have:
Eligibility to work in Australia
A current driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
A MyID (Standard level)
Willingness to complete a National Police Check
Ability to pass a Working with Children Check
Availability to work full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
